Tuck Everlasting


I JUST TUCKED the Ukulele in to her big kid bed for the first time, which means, I guess, that I tucked her in to her crib for the last time last night. (Astonishingly, the tucking seems to be holding--I guess she hasn't figured out yet that there is nothing keeping her from getting up.) I feel suddenly, surprisingly bereft.

TANGENT: Every night before going to bed, and I mean EVERY night, the Uke demands to watch this and then this.

Holy cats, she's big! Wasn't she just born, like 10 minutes ago???

It's funny how the transitions like that sometimes really kick you in the gut more than you'd expect.

That will probably not last. Does she still sleep with a pacifier? Toddler bed + no more pacifier = major sleep pattern regression with Liana.

The Uke has exceptional taste to be so infatuated with Annie, starring, among others, Tim Curry. Clearly you're both doing a great job. [info]swirlychick also says that she's, quote, "the cutest."

I wouldn't put it past [info]robotnik to stage that picture with extra-small chairs, just to make her look larger.

I would totally do that.
